Effect of specialized c are on pulmonary function, blood gas levels and nursing satisfaction in patients with pulmonary infectious diseases
Objective To analyze the effect of special care on pulmonary function
blood gas levels and nursing satisfaction in patients with pulmonary infectious diseases. Methods Eighty-two patients with pulmonary infectious diseases treated in a hospital in Pingdingshan from March 2018 to July 2020 were selected for the study and divided into a study group(n=41) and a control group(n=41) using the random number table method. The patients in the control group were given conventional care
and the study group was given specialized care based on the care of the control group
and the patients in both groups were continuously cared for until they were discharged. The improvement of symptoms
blood gas levels [arterial partial pressure of oxygen(PaO
2
)
arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide(Pa CO
2
) and arterial oxygen saturation(SaO
2
)]
pulmonary function [forced vital capacity(FVC)
forced expiratory volume in the first second(FEV
1
)/FVC]
length of stay and satisfaction with nursing care were compared between the 2 groups of patients before and after care. Results Before nursing care
there were no statistically significant differences between the cough frequency
cough volume and dyspnea degree scores of patients in the 2 groups(P
>
0.05); after nursing care
the cough frequency
cough volume and dyspnea degree scores of patients in the 2 groups were lower than those before nursing care
and the study group was lower than the control group
with statistically significant differences(P
<
0.05). Before care
there was no statistically significant difference between the PaO
2
Pa CO
2
and SaO
2
levels of the two groups(P
>
0.05); after care
the PaO
2
and SaO
2
levels of the two groups were higher than before care
and the study group was higher than the control group
and the differences were statistically significant(P
<
0.05); the Pa CO
2
level was lower than before care
and the study group was lower than the control group
and the differences were statistically significant(P
<
0.05). Before nursing care
there was no statistically significant difference between the FVC and FEV
1
/FVC levels of the 2 groups; after nursing care
the FVC and FEV
1
/FVC levels of the 2 groups were higher than before nursing care
and the study group was higher than the control group
and the differences were statistically significant(P
<
0.05). The length of stay of patients in the study group was shorter than that in the control group
and the difference was statistically significant(P
<
0.05); the satisfaction score of nursing work was higher in the study group than that in the control group
and the differences were statistically significant(P
<
0.05). Conclusion Specialized nursing care can effectively relieve patients with pulmonary infectious diseases by relieving clinical symptoms
improving blood gas levels and pulmonary function
shortening hospitalization time
and improving nursing job satisfaction
which is worthy of clinical promotion and use.
