Clinical observation of routine acupuncture combined with ginger-separated moxibustion on cervical spondylotic radiculopathy
Objective To explore the effect of routine acupuncture combined with ginger-separated moxibustion on cervical spondylotic radiculopathy. Methods A total of 200 patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy treated in a hospital in Chongqing from January to December 2018 were randomly divided into group A(routine acupuncture)
group B(routine acupuncture+ginger moxibustion 3 times)
group C(routine acupuncture+ginger moxibustion 5 times) and group D(routine acupuncture+ginger moxibustion 7 times)
with 50 cases in each group. The average neck temperature of the four groups before and after treatment was compared;and the clinical efficacy of the four groups was compared. Results After treatment
the average neck temperature in the four groups was higher than that before treatment
while the average neck temperature in group B
C and D was higher than that in group A
and the average neck temperature in group C and D was higher than that in group B
and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment
there was no significant difference in average neck temperature between group C and group D(P>0.05).The total effective rate of group B
C and D was higher than that of group A
the total effective rate of group C and D was significantly higher than that of group B
and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Meanwhile
there was no significant difference in the total effective rate between group C and group D(P>0.05).Conclusion Routine acupuncture combined with ginger-separated moxibustion 5 times has a significant clinical effect in the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy. It can improve the neck temperature of patients and improve the effective rate of treatment
