Effect of extended nursing based on empowerment theory on shoulder function and quality of life of patients with permanent pacemaker implantation
Objective:To explore the effect of extended nursing based on empowerment theory on shoulder function and quality of life of patients with permanent pacemaker implantation. Methods:From September 2018 to October 2019
94 patients who received permanent pacemaker implantation were selected from cardiovascular department of the Affiliated Hospital of Southwest Medical University. They were divided into control group and intervention group according to the method of random number table. The control group were carried out routine extended nursing. On this basis
the intervention group was given extended nursing based on empowerment theory. The scores of shoulder function and quality of life were collected at the time of discharge
one month and six months after discharge. Results:One and six months after discharge
the scores of shoulder function in the intervention group were lower than those in the control group
and the scores of quality of life were higher than those in the control group(P < 0.05). Conclusion:Extended nursing based on empowerment theory can improve shoulder function and quality of life of patients with permanent pacemaker implantation.
