Anesthesiology department is the last line of defense for screening perioperative patients for the coronavirus disease 2019（COVID-19）. In the face of the severe situation of COVID-19 epidemic

combining the transmission characteristics of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 with the particularity of anesthesia work environment is not only the focus of anesthetic medical quality control

but also the key to effective prevention and control of COVID-19 and orderly resume of the normal work of anesthesiology department. Therefore

this paper discusses how the anesthesiology staff should standardize the perioperative operation and formulate relevant protective measures during the COVID-19 epidemic.
