Clinical significance of renal blood flow parameters combined with cystatin C in evaluating renal injury in patients with preeclampsia
Objective:To investigate the clinical significance of renal arterial blood flow parameters combined with cystatin C(CysC) in evaluating renal injury in patients with preeclampsia. Methods:A total of 30 patients with mild preeclampsia
30 patients with chronic hypertension and preeclampsia
and 30 patients with severe preeclampsia
who were hospitalized and gave birth in Department of Obstetrics in our hospital from January 2016 to January2017
were enrolled as groups A
B
and C
respectively
and 30 healthy pregnant women were enrolled as control group(group D). Related blood flow parameters of the renal interlobar arteries were measured for all subjects
including peak systolic velocity(PSV)
end-diastolic velocity(EDV)
acceleration time(AT)
and systolic acceleration(SA)
and the biochemical parameters including uric acid(UA) and CysC were measured. The correlation between renal blood flow parameters and biochemical parameters was analyzed. Results:Compared with group D
groups A
B
and C had significantly lower PSV
EDV
and SA and a significantly higher AT(P < 0.05)
and compared with group A
groups B and C had significantly lower PSV
EDV
and SA and a significantly higher AT(P < 0.05). Groups B and C had significantly higher UA and CysC than groups D and A(all P < 0.05)
and group A had a significantly higher level of CysC than group D(P < 0.05). UA and CysC were negatively correlated with PSV
EDV
and SA and were positively correlated with AT(P < 0.05). Compared with UA
CysC had higher correlation with renal blood flow parameters. Conclusion:Renal arterial blood flow parameters combined with CysC have a certain clinical value in evaluating renal function in patients with preeclampsia.
