Effects of Guben Pingxiao Decoction combined with western medicine on lung function and serum T lymphocyte subsets in patients with lung-renal-qi-deficiency syndrome during asthma remission period
Objective To investigate the effect of Guben Pingxiao Decoction combined with western medicine on lung function and serum T lymphocyte subsets in patients with lung-kidney deficiency syndrome during asthma remission. Methods From February 2017 to March 2019
80 patients with lung-kidney deficiency syndrome in asthma remission who were treated in a hospital in Shenyang City were selected as the research subjects. The patients were divided into observation group and control group by random number table method
with 40 cases in each group. Patients in the control group were given budesonide inhalation inhalation treatment. Patients in the observation group were given Guben Pingxiao Decoction on the basis of treatment in the control group. Both groups of patients continued treatment for 12 weeks. The treatment effects and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared; the clinical symptom score
lung function changes
and serum T lymphocyte subgroup levels were compared between the two groups. Results A total of 30 patients in the control group were effective in treatment(6 cases were clinically controlled
9 cases were markedly effective
15 cases were effective)
and the total effective rate was 75.00%. The observation group had a total effective treatment of 37 patients(7 clinically controlled
16 significantly effective
and 14 effective)
and the total effective rate was 92.50%. The treatment efficiency of the observation group was higher than that of the control group
and the difference was statistically significant(P
<
0.05). There was no significant difference in the clinical symptoms(wheezing
chest tightness
chills
coldness
fatigue
waist and knee weakness
tinnitus and dizziness) of the two groups of patients before treatment(P
>
0.05). After treatment
the scores of clinical symptoms(wheezing
chest tightness
chills
fatigue
fatigue of the waist and knees
and tinnitus and dizziness) in the two groups were lower than before treatment
and the observation group was significantly lower than the control group. P
<
0.05). There was no significant difference in FEV1/FVC
FEV1% and PEF% between the two groups before treatment(P
>
0.05). After treatment
the FEV1/FVC
FEV1%
and PEF% of the two groups were higher than those of the control group
and the observation group was higher than that of the control group
and the differences were statistically significant(P
<
0.05). There was no significant difference in the levels of CD4
+
CD8
+
and CD4
+
/CD8
+
between the two groups before treatment(P
>
0.05). After treatment
the levels of CD4
+
and CD4
+
/CD8
+
in the two groups were higherthan before treatment
and the observation group was higher than in the control group
and the differences were statistically significant(P
<
0.05). After treatment
the CD8
+
levels in the two groups were lower than the treatment The patients in the observation group were lower than those in the control group
and the difference was statistically significant(P
<
0.05). Two patients in the control group had adverse reactions
and the incidence of adverse reactions was 5.00%. Three patients had adverse reactions in the observation group
and the incidence of adverse reactions was 7.50%. The incidence of adverse reactions was higher in the observation group than in the control group
but the difference was not statistically significant(P
>
0.05). Conclusion Guber Pingxiao Decoction combined with western medicine can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of patients with lung-kidney deficiency syndrome during remission of asthma
improve the lung function and immune function of the body
and it is effective and safe. It is worthy of clinical popularization.
