The Effect of Transurethral Bipolar Plasma Resection on Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia
Objective To evaluate the effect of transurethral bipolar plasma resection(TKRP)on the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH).Methods 101 cases of patients with BPH admitted in The First Hospital of Dandong City were randomly divided into a control group(n=48)and an observation group(n=53);the control group were treated with suprapubic transvesical prostatectomy(SPP)and the observation group were treated with TKRP;surgery-related indicators
postoperative stress and prognosis indicators were observed in both groups. Results In the observation group
patients′peri-operative bleeding
operation time and postoperative drainage
postoperative bed time were less than the control group and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);the insulin level of the observation group was higher than the control group
the blood glucose level and the numeric rating scale(NRS)scores
Hamilton depression scale(HAMD)scores and Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA)scores were lower than the control group
and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);International prostate symptom scores(IPSS)were lower than the control group
but Karnofsky performance status scale(KPS)scores and quality of life questionnaire(QLQ-C30)scores were higher than the control group
and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion TKRP in treating BPH can effectively reduce patients′postoperative stress response with small surgical trauma and good long-term prognosis
which is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
