A Survey on Epidemiology of Chronic Kidney Disease Among People doing Physical Examination
Objective To investigate epidemiological features and risk factors of chronic kidney disease(CKD)among people doing physical examination. Methods 2 260 people aged over 20 who did physical examination from October2014 to October 2015 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu Medical College were randomly selected to do questionnaires and physical examination and test kidney-injury-related indicators. The risk factors of CKD were analyzed. Results Among 2 260 people
the detection rate of albuminuria in males was 11.76%
the detection rate of albuminuria in females was 11.29% and the difference was not statistically significant(χ
2
=0.124
P=0.725);the detection rates of albuminuria in the elder group
middle-aged group and youth group were respectively 12.50%
12.07%and 11.03% and the differences between the three age groups were not statistically significant(χ
2
=0.795
P=0.672).The detection rate of hematuria in females was 14.52%
significantly higher than males(7.84%)and the difference was statistically significant(χ
2
=24.478
P=0.000);the detection rates of hematuria of the middle-aged and youth groups(10.34% and 11.03%)were both lower than the elder group(15.63%)and the differences were statistically significant(χ
2
=5.359
P=0.021;χ
2
=5.217
P=0.022).The detection rate of male glomerular filtration rate(GFR)decline was 3.92%
the detection rate of female GFR decline was 3.23%and there was no significant difference(χ
2
=0.793
P=0.373);the detection rate of GFR decline in the elder group(18.75%)was significantly higher than the middle-aged group(1.72%)and the youth group(0.74%)and the differences were statistically significant(χ
2
=83.342
210.543
P=0.000)
the detection rate of GFR decline in the middle-aged group(1.72%)was significantly higher than the youth group(0.74%)and the difference was statistically significant(χ
2
=3.897
P=0.048).353 cases had abnormal renal Color Doppler Flow Imaging results and the detection rate was 15.62%.In this survey
the CKD detection rate in males was 16.67%
higher than females(12.10%)
and the difference was statistically significant(χ
2
=9.616
P=0.002);CKD detection rates of the middle-aged and youth groups(13.79% and 11.03%)were both lower than the elder group(28.13%)and the differences were statistically significant(χ
2
=27.648
61.829
P=0.000).Multivariate stepwise logistic regression analysis showed that hypertension
diabetes and hyperlipidemia were independent risk factors for CKD.Conclusion The incidence of CKD among people doing physical examination in the hospital is high and physical examinations can help to diagnose CKD early.
