Objective To investigate the necessity of nasopharyngolarygnoscope inspection for laryngeal cough and observe the efficacy of its clinical care.Method 40 cases of patients with laryngeal cough received at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Mudanjiang Medical College from February to December 2012 were tested and analyzed by nasopharyngolarygnoscope inspection of their nasopharynx

treated their diseases and given the overall nursing intervention.The clinical effects were observed after 2weeks and patients’anxiety condition before and after nursing intervention were evaluated with the Hamilton Anxiety Scale（HAMA）.Results 37 cases of patients had nasopharyngeal diseases

such as rhinitis

sinusitis and nasal space-occupying lesions

accounting for 92.5%;after the treatment

the patients’coughs and throat discomfort symptoms improved significantly or disappeared.Before the nursing intervention

HAMA score was 21.5±1.4.After the intervention

HAMA score was 9.0±1.7and the difference was statistically significant（P<0.05）.Conclusion Nasopharyngolarygnoscope inspection can discover the cause of laryngeal cough.According to the cause

the appropriate treatment combined with the overall nursing intervention can significantly improve the prognosis of patients with laryngeal cough.
