Clinical Analysis of the Postpartum Blood Glucose Follow-up in Patients with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus
Objective To investigate the postpartum week blood glucose follow-up rate of patients with gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)and changes of oral glucose tolerance test(OGTT)so as to provide a reference for improving the follow-up results.Method 30cases of GDM patients did OGTT of the blood glucose follow-up at the outpatient clinic after their delivery of 6weeks
24weeks and 48weeks.According to the results
they were divided into diabetic group
impaired glucose tolerance and normal blood glucose group to analyze the postpartum blood glucose follow-up rate and differences of OGTT results at different periods of time. Results The blood glucose follow-up rates of GDM patients after their delivery of 6
24and 48weeks were70.0%
46.7%and 46.7%.The DM prevalence rates of GDM patients after their delivery of 6
24and 48weeks were 9.5%
7.1%and 7.1%and their IGT prevalence rates were 19.0%
28.6%and 21.4%.Conclusion The postpartum blood glucose follow-up rate of patients with gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)is low and there should be appropriate measures to improve the follow-up rate.GDM patients often have glucose metabolism disorders during their postpartum periods of 6to 48weeks
and there should be serious follow-ups and early intervention to slow down or prevent the occurrence of postpartum DM.
