Observation on Curative Effect of Peritoneal Disposable Lavage in Preventing Incision Infection in the Perforating Appendicitis
Abstract
Objective To observe the curative effect of peritoneal disposable lavage in preventing incision infection after appendectomy for perforating appendicitis and to explore an effective way to reduce incision infection rate.Method 183 cases of patients with perforating appendicitis were divided into PDL group and control group randomly.Patients in the PDL group received peritoneal disposable lavage while those in the control group received traditional peritoneal drainage.Incision healing grade
incision infection and the like after appendectomy in the two groups were compared. Results In the PDL group
the first grade incision healing rate after appendectomy was 86.59% and the infection rate was 4.88%;the first grade incision healing rate in the control group was 61.39% and the infection rate was 15.84%.Differences between the two groups were statistically significant(p<0.01).Conclusion Peritoneal disposable lavage
which is simple to operate and has significantly better curative effects than peritoneal drainage
is a very effective way to prevent and reduce incision infection in perforating appendicitis and to avoid other complications
thus the peritoneal disposable lavage is worth promoting.
