Objective To have a knowledge about the health status of female nursing students through detecting their contents of fasting plasma glucose and hemoglobin in a college to provide reference for the college to promote knowledge on nutrition and health education.Method With the method of random sampling

800 female nursing students in a certain medical college were chosen to make a test of their glucose and blood routine examination.Results The detection rate of hypoglycemia for female nursing students was 27.2%;the average level of hemoglobin was（132±25）g/L

and the anaemia rate was 27.0%;the detection rate of microcytic hypochromic anemia and microcytic non-homogeneity anemia for students with hypoglycemia was higher than those with normal glucose

while the detection rate of normal cell homogeneity anemia and normal cell non-homogeneity anemia was lower than those with normal glucose

and the differences were statistically significant（p<0.05 or p<0.01）.Conclusion The female nursing students have a rather bad health

and the education on nutrition and health should be strengthened through various means.
