Objective To have a knowledge about the prevalence of common diseases among higher vocational college students so as to explore control and prevention methods.Method The type

disease occurrence time and causes of common diseases of 285 students in nanjing college of chemical technology were recorded and analyzed.Results The most common disease among patients was cold

accounting for 81.0% and the successive top five diseases were dermatomycosis

varicella

diarrhea

odontalgia and trauma respectively.The most common cause for cold was catching cold

and the disease occurrence time was mostly in May

September and October.Conclusion Common diseases of students relate to a lack of health knowledge

so during the treatment process

nursing staff should enhance health education

which is an important way to lower the prevalence of common diseases.
