Objective To explore the distribution of the group with hypertriglyceridemai among urban residents in Beidaihe and effects of the pressure produced by high-intensity summer work to the outbreak of hypertriglyceridemai.Method 5 408 adults’ physical examination results were chosen from urban residents in Beidaihe who received physical examination in 2009.They were divided according to age

gender

occupation and the time of physical examination

and the results of check-up data of every group were statistically processed so as to analyze the distribution characteristics of hypertriglyceridemai in urban residents of Beidaihe.Results The detection rate of hypertriglyceridemai in urban residents of Beidaihe was 29.6%

and men got a higher rate（36.4%） than women（22.9%）（P<0.01）;the detection rate of hypertriglyceridemai had the trend to rise with the age;detection rates of civil servants and individual industry were higher than the general rate

and teachers had a lower detection rate than the general（P<0.05 or P<0.01）;the detection rates of hypertriglyceridemai of civil servants and enterprise crowd who occupied in high-intensity work in summer were higher than those before summer（P<0.05 or P<0.01）.Conclusion The distribution characteristics of hypertriglyceridemai in urban residents of Beidaihe differ from different genders

ages and occupations

and relatively concentrated and high-intensity work will cause the rise of detection rate of hypertriglyceridemai in the group of people of the same occupation.
