Objective To learn the anxiety state of senior high school students

and to provide the references for improving their mental health level. Method 474 senior high school students were tested with the Mental Health Test （MHT）. Results The ratio of behavioral problem of general anxiety tendency accounted for 13.9%

and the terror tendency’s ratio of behavioral problem was the highest among eight content tests which accounted for 17.5%.The anxiety level of the grade one is significantly higher than that of the grade two in Learning anxiety tendency

anxiety tendency of facing person

hypersensitivity tendency

impulsion tendency and general anxiety tendency（P<0.05 or P<0.01）. The anxiety level of girls is significantly higher than that of boys in learning anxiety

impulsion tendency and general anxiety tendency（P<0.01）. Conclusion The anxiety level of senior high school students can not be optimistic. The anxiety level of the grade one was significantly higher than that of the grade two

and the anxiety level of girls was significantly higher than that of boys. The mental health education in the respects of study

interpersonal relationship

emotion

and so on

should be strengthened for the new students of high school

with especial guidance for the mental health of girls.
