Objective To be informed of the current situation and tendency and to find out the differences of HBV infection between urban and rural areas and between males and females
so as to provide theoretical evidence for prevention.Method To analyze statistically the HBV infection rate of freshmen from 2005 to 2008.Results over the past 4 years
the positive rate of HBsAg is 6.54%.The rate of 2008 is higher than each of the other 3 years
which is statistically significant(P<0.05 or P<0.01).The HBsAg infection rate of male students is 8.54% while female 5.09%
which is statistically significant(χ2=40.64
P<0.01).The HBsAg infection rate of freshmen from urban areas is 4.99% while from rural is 7.97%
which is statistically significant(χ2=31.11
P<0.01).ALT of 11.43% of the HBsAg reactors tends to increase. The two main serum patterns of reactors are HBsAg(+)、HBeAg(+)、HBcAb(+)and HBsAg(+)、HBeAb(+)、HBcAb(+).The rates are 43.32% and 38.57% respeltively. Conclusion In this university
the male freshmen’s positive rate of HBV is higher than the female’s
and that of students in urban areas is higher than that in rural areas.
