Clinical significance of soluble CD163 in acute coronary syndrome patients
Objective To investigate the expression of serum soluble CD163 (sCD163) in the patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and its clinical significance. Methods A total of 672 patients with ACS admitted to the hospital from February 2013 to December 2014 were enrolled
and 305 healthy volunteers were taken as controls. Blood samples were obtained in 24 h
72 h
and 30 d after ACS. ELISA was used to determine the expression of sCD163. The correlation between sCD163 level and Gensini score was evaluated. Results The patients with ACS showed higher expression of sCD163 than the controls in 24 h
72 h and 30 d after ACS (P0.05). Furthermore
serum sCD163 level was positively related with the Gensini score (P0.05). Based on the ROC curve
the boundary value of sCD163 was 651.5 ng/mL. The sensitivity and specificity of sCD163 in diagnosis of ACS were 85.40% and 91.52%
respectively. The area under the ROC curve was 0.931 3. Conclusion Increased serum sCD163 level may be an early predictor of outcome in patients with ACS.
