Relationship of military fatigue with psychological stress, stress perception and self-efficacy in soldiers from 2nd Artillery Corps during plateau encamping
Objective To investigate the relationship of military fatigue with psychological stress
stress perception and self-efficacy in the soldiers from 2nd Artillery Corps during plateau encamping. Methods Psychological Stress Self-evaluation Test (PEST)
Perceived Stress Scale (CPSS)
General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES)
and Newly Developed Questionnaire for Work Related Fatigue Feelings (WRFFQ) were applied to 424 soldiers from some troop of second artillerist during plateau encamping. Results ① Their total score of WRFFQ was 45.73±15.79 points. ②The soldiers with high fatigue score had significantly stronger psychological stress and pressure sensing
but lower general self-efficacy than those with lower fatigue score (both P0.01). ③ The total score of work fatigue was positively correlated with psychological stress and pressure sensing (r=0.530
r=0.493
P0.01)
but was negatively correlated with general self-efficacy (r=-0.225
P0.01). ④ Their psychological stress
general self-efficacy and pressure perception had a significant regression with fatigue conditions (R=0.592
total explained variance=35.1%
P0.01). Conclusion Military fatigue is closely associated with psychological stress
pressure sensing and general self-efficacy in the soldiers from some troop of 2nd Artillery Corps.
