Optimization of preparation and formulation of luteolin liposomes
Objective To optimize the preparation and formulation of intravenous luteolin liposomes. Methods Luteolin liposomes were prepared by thin-film dispersion method and lyophillization. Optimization of preparation and formulation was accomplished by evaluating the drug-loading amounts and the entrapment efficiency of luteolin liposomes. Results The ideal combination of preparation and formulation was phospholipids∶luteolin=10∶1; phospholipids∶ cholesterin=4∶1. Hydrating medium was distilled water
and temperature was 50 ℃. The average drug-loading
entrapment deficiency
and the average particle size of the optimized liposome was 7.21%
66.8% and 278.4 nm respectively. Conclusion The optimized luteolin liposomes are proved to be qualified for intravenous injection.
